Antiaging Sunscreens

Helioplex (a technology designed to increase the effectiveness of sunscreen) and Mexoryl SX (a protective agent) are the two newest breakthroughs in sun protection.  These two breakthroughs represent the first innovations in skin protection in over 20 years.  The aim of these two ingredients is to help protect against shorter, more harmful UVA rays.  These rays aren’t as well known, and therefore, tend to be the most dangerous because many people simply don’t know they are exposed.  UVA rays go deep into the skin causing collagen and elastin damage leading to aging skin.  Previous sunscreens protected only against longer UVA and UVB rays, and the protection was spotty at best as the active ingredients would degrade in the sun.  Helioplex and Mexoryl are not only designed to address shorter UVA waves, but researchers have found that they help to resist solar breakdown.  This equates to better, longer-lasting protection without the need to frequently reapply.  In 2007 these sunscreen breakthroughs were combined with antioxidants and other anti-aging ingredients to create full-spectrum treatment and protection.  Helioplex can be found in:
